Emma Behrend is an experienced property manager who has recently joined the team at Elders after working in Toowoomba for just over two years. Coming from a rural background she worked as a property manager in both Goondiwindi and St George.
To some it may just seem like the management of bricks and mortar but it far more than that. It’s an investors retirement, a college fund, a means of obtaining a good education for your children or a legacy to hand down. Emma believes the corner stone of property management is clear communication between all parties and building a foundation of trust so that strong relationships can be built.
She believes that it is life experience that makes a good property manager a great property manager. It all starts with the selection of a suitable tenant who is the best fit for the property. From there every aspect of the tenancy needs to be managed with care and attention to detail. All parties involved including tenants, investors and trades people need to be treated with respect and have open lines of communication.
Emma has a true passion for property management and thrives in the fast-paced environment. She believes you never stop learning and that there is always room for growth. “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do” Steve Jobs.
